Anthony D. Tassone



Anthony D. Tassone, 68, of Red Lion, Pa., (better known as Tony or Pop) passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at York Hospital after an extremely courageous, long and inspiring battle against COVID-19.


He was born on February 9, 1953 in Hammonton, N.J. He was a loving and devoted husband of 43 years to his wife Laura, who preceded him in death, and a dedicated, caring dad to his four children, Becky, John, Mandy and Zac.


Tony is predeceased by his wife, Laura Tassone and his parents, Anthony L. and Lillian M. Tassone. He is survived by his four children, Rebecca Tassone (Steven Harvey), Johnathan Tassone, Amanda Bucalo (Jeremy Bucalo) and Zachary Tassone (Leah Tassone). He will forever be missed by his four grandchildren, Ian, Bryson, Alex and Via. Tony is also survived by his three loving siblings of Hammonton, N.J., Robert Tassone (Jackie Tassone), Lilletta Fasano (Sal Fasano) and Joseph Tassone, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many cousins, close friends, yard sale buddies and GriefShare friends.


A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at St John’s United Church of Christ in Red Lion, Pa. Private Interment took place at Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Red Lion, Pa. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion was in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to two causes dear to his heart: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pa, 745 West Governor Road Hershey, PA 17033-2304 (https://www. rmhc-centralpa.org/donate/) which helps families with sick children, or PA CASA in care of York County PA CASA, P.O. Box 44 Bethlehem PA 18016 which advocates for children who have experienced abuse or neglect situations. Those moved by Tony’s powerful legacy can also honor him by taking time to enjoy the outdoors, spend time with family and friends or enjoy the art of a good deal.
