Francis “Frank” Joseph Woelfel



Francis “Frank” Joseph Woelfel Sr., 87, of Rosedale section of Winslow Twp., N.J. passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, N.J. with loved ones by his side.


Frank was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from Roman Catholic High School in 1952. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Frank spent most of his professional career with Honeywell. He began in the Philadelphia area but worked to open a new regional office in Marlton, N.J. He retired from Honeywell in 1992 as the Regional Branch Manager for the South Jersey Region. After his “retirement,” he spent the next 22 years working at the Pinelands Regional Golf Course in Folsom, N.J.


In addition to his parents, Harry J. and Henrietta Woelfel, he is predeceased by his brother, Harry (Mary) Woelfel and sisters, Henrietta (Walt) Blair and Clare (Tom) Christy.


He is survived by his wife, Jean G. Woelfel (nee Rodio); his children, Francis and his wife Mary, Deborah O’Neill and her husband William, Michael Woelfel, Donna Wilsbach and her husband Joseph, and Dawn Woelfel as well as his sister, Mary Schweiker.


He was the loving and much loved grandfather of Frank J. Woelfel III, Kevin and Daniel Woelfel, Joseph E.Wilsbach (Kate), Connor and Kyle Wilsbach, Michael and Brenna O’Neill and Amanda Dunns (Kenny) and Samantha Woelfel.


A viewing will be held for family on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third Street Hammonton, N.J. All are welcome to the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel – St. Joseph Church Third & French Streets Hammonton, N.J.


In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made in Frank’s memory to St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish 226 French Street Hammonton, NJ 08037 or St. Joseph Academy 328 Vine Street Hammonton, NJ 08037.
