George W. Hoffman Jr., 84, of Elm, N.J. passed away at home on Thursday, October 21, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
George was born in Woodbury, N.J. on May 5, 1937, lived in Erial, N.J. and graduated from Haddonfield High School. He moved to Woodbury with his wife of 50 years, Rosemary. There, they raised their family. He worked in the real estate field, buying, selling and renovating properties. He could fix anything. George was an avid chess and lifelong Phillies fan.
He is predeceased by his parents, George W. Hoffman Sr. and Amanda M. Hoffman (nee Reighn).
George is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary (nee Cini); his children, George W. Hoffman III, Frederick Hoffman, Judith Cardenosa (John) and Rosemary A. DeCicco (Steve). He is also survived by his brother, Terry L. Hoffman and sister, Melody Betz (Richard). He is the loving grandfather of Matthew, Hannah, Nathaniel, Levi and Kyle.
Family and friends attended his viewing on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third Street Hammonton, N.J. Funeral service began at 11 a.m. Burial followed in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton, NJ 08037. Masks were required.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry (SVDP) 226 French St, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
