Giuseppa Munno

Giuseppa Munno, 95, of Hammonton, N.J. passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 peacefully in the home that she loved.

Giuseppa was born in Macerata Campania, Italy and immigrated to Hammonton in 1964. She was a seamstress working for the W.B. Kessler Clothing Co. and member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America. Giuseppa was also a member of both the Catholic Daughters of America and St. Rita Society.

Giuseppa was a very good cook, as her family and her son’s friends can attest. Some still talk about her cooking when they would come over for Sunday dinners. She was also a devoted Catholic, sometimes attending mass daily. She would always say “Jesus is number 1.” A priest once said of her that she was in church longer than many of the saint statues.

She is predeceased by her husband, Lorenzo Munno.

Surviving are her sons, Frank Munno (Rosemary) and Renzo Munno (Victoria); her sister, Maria Tritto; grandchildren, Lina Ann Munno/Ware (Steve) and James Munno (Rachel); and great-grandchildren, Emma Josephine Ware and John James Ware.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Wednesday, November 24, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third Street Hammonton, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church Third and French Sts. Hammonton, NJ 08037. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 124 S.
