Ida Iantorno



Ida Iantorno (nee Sena), 85, of Hammonton, N.J., passed away peacefully at home Sunday, February 27, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.


Born in Luzzi, Italy, she moved to the United States in 1955. Ida worked 26 years as a seamstress for Hammonton Park Clothes and 26 years for William B. Kessler Memorial Hospital. She loved to cook, garden and most of all spend time with her family.


Ida is predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Giovanni “John”; parents, Michele and Concetta Sena; sister, Rosina Danesi; and brothers, Frank, Emidio and Mario Sena.


Ida is survived by her loving children, Rose M. (James) Lipford, Carmen Iantorno and Joanne (Thomas Palm) Iantorno; grandchildren, James Lipford, Remi Nicole (Dean) Ihemesie, Ian Lipford and Joseph Palm; and great-granddaughter, Giavanna Ihemesie. Also survived by sisters Josephine Iuliucci and Anna Cuci (Frank).


Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday, March 4, 2022 9 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St., Hammonton, NJ 08037. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish - St. Joseph Church, Third and French St., Hammonton, N.J. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 124 S. First Rd., Hammonton, NJ 08037.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Redeemer Health Shore Hospice (NJ-Shore Hospice Services) at redeemerhealth.org.
