Easter is approaching quickly, and Hammonton’s churches are getting prepared for the holiday. Easter takes place on April 17 this year, and many churches are offering an Easter service. Listed below are the churches and their available services.
St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish
St. Joseph Church of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish is located on 226 French Street in Hammonton. Masses will be held on Wednesdays at noon during Lent.
St. Anthony of Padua Church is located at 285 Route 206. Stations of the Cross will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Friday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m. and in Spanish at 7:30 p.m.
On Palm Sunday, April 10 there will be a regular Mass schedule.
The Holy Thursday, April 14 (bilingual) schedule is as follows: Tenebrae Service at St. Joseph Church at 8 a.m.; Mass of the Lord’s Supper at St. Joseph’s Church at 7 p.m.; Eucharistic Adoration will be held at St. Joseph Church - visit to Repository until midnight.
On Good Friday, April 15 (bilingual) there will be Tenebrae Service at St. Joseph Church at 8 a.m.; Stations of the Cross at St. Anthony of Padia Church at noon; Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion and Death, Holy Communion at St. Joseph Church at 3 p.m.; Via Crucis en Espanol - Virenes Santo a 5 p.m. Estacionamiento de San Jose - Todos invitados (all invited); Procesion del Silencio a 8 p.m. Estacionamiento de San Antonio.
On Holy Saturday, April 16 (bilingual) there will be Tenebrae Service at St. Joseph Church at 8 a.m. and Easter Vigil Mass at St. Joseph Church at 8 p.m.
On Easter Sunday, Sunrise Mass at the St. Anthony Picnic Grounds will be at 6 a.m.
The parish will also be holding masses at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 7:30 a.m and 10:30 a.m, and St. Joseph Church at 9 a.m. and noon (Spanish).

First United Methodist Church of Hammonton
The First United Methodist Church of Hammonton is located at 398 Bellevue Avenue. There, the church offers services, including a service for Palm Sunday.
The service will take place on April 10, at 8:30 a.m. This event will be in person only, while an online version of the service will be available at 10:30 am.
On Thursday, April 14, the church will be holding a Maundy Thursday. This service will be available in person and online at 7 p.m.
On Friday, April 15, the church will be open for prayer from noon to 3 p.m., and will be in person only.
The Good Friday service will take place on Friday, April 15 as well, with a service at 7 p.m. and with the option of in-person or online mass.
The Sunrise service for the church will take place in the park on April 17, at 7 a.m. This mass will be held exclusively in-person.
Finally at 10:30 a.m. on April 17, the Easter service will take place, which is open to people in person and online.

Presbyterian Church at Hammonton
The Presbyterian Church of Hammonton is located next to Veterans Memorial Park on Bellevue, with the church at 326 Bellevue Avenue.
The church will hold Palm Sunday and Easter services at 11 a.m. Their Good Friday service will be a joint service between the church and the Methodist Church. The service will be held at the Methodist Church.
In place of a regular service on April 3, the church will be holding an Easter Concert at 11a.m.

Hammonton Baptist Church
The Hammonton Baptist Church can be located at 19 S. Third Street. This church will be holding a morning worship service at 11 a.m., on April 17.

SS. St. Peter and Paul Traditional Catholic Church
SS. St. Peter and Paul is located on 300 Peach Street. Palm Sunday will be celebrated at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., with a Blessing of Palms and Procession at 10:45 a.m. Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Holy Monday, April 11 through Holy Wednesday, April 13.
There will be Chrism Mass on Holy Thursday, April 14 and it will be celebrated privately with the Superior General-Prim Bishop and all Bishops, Priests of the Society of St. Alphonsus Liguori; Holy Thursday evening Mass will be at 7 p.m.
On Good Friday, April 15 there will be Stations of the Cross at 11 a.m., followed by Mass of the Presanctified at noon. On Holy Saturday, April 15 there will be Lighting of the New Fire at 5:30 p.m., Holy Baptism at 6:30 p.m., Mass of the Vigil of the Resurrection at 7 p.m.
On Sunday April 17, the church is holding a low mass at 8 a.m. and Missa Cantata Mass at 11 a.m. They will have Sunday confessions as well from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

Calvary Chapel
Calvary Chapel is located on 660 S. Egg Harbor Road. There, the chapel will host a Sunday worship service at 9 a.m., and 10:30 a.m. The chapel will also be holding a Sunday worship live stream, which will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Victory Bible Church
The Victory Bible Church is located at 816 S. Egg Harbor Road, just down the road from the Calvary Chapel. There the Victory Bible Church will be hosting an Easter Experience event, which takes place on April 9, 10, 14 and 15. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the event will begin at 7 p.m. The event is free, and reservations are required. To reserve reservations, head to their Facebook page, or you can call the church.

St. James Lutheran Church
St. James Lutheran Church is located in Folsom at 1341 Mays Landing Road.
The church will have a service for Palm/Passion Sunday on April 10, at 10 a.m.
Maundy Thursday service will be on April 14, at 7 p.m., and a Good Friday service will be on April 15 at 7 p.m. as well.
For Easter Sunday the church is holding a service at 10 a.m., with an Easter egg hunt as well.
