She began working on her parents’ farm from an early age, and fondly remembered her time selling produce at their fruit stand on Route 206 with her beloved cousin Helen. At the age of 21, she began working at Whitehall Labs Hammonton in their Administrative Offices. She became co-owner/operator of Caruso Farms after she married in 1960. Later, she worked in a variety of capacities, including as a receptionist for Medhi Kalani, MD, a bookkeeper for Arena Oldsmobile and as a retail sales specialist for the Marriot Seaview Resort in Galloway Township until her retirement in 2007. She was a devoted parishioner of Saint Anthony’s of Padua Church in Hammonton, and later transitioned to Saint Joseph’s Church where she attended daily mass for decades. She loved working at the parishes, serving as a volunteer at the annual Feast of Saint Anthony Chicken Barbecue and in a variety of other church organizations. She was very passionate about the increasing diversity at St. Joseph’s Church and personally funded the purchase of the Our Lady of Guadalupe statue displayed there today. She loved cooking for her family and friends, especially her treasured recipes for Meatballs and Easter Ham Pies.

Emma was predeceased by her parents, William and Rose Cappuccio (nee Pinto); as well as her two brothers, Samuel (Roberta, Betty) and William (Joyce); and the father of her children, John J. Caruso. She is survived by her two sons, John W. Caruso, MD (Antonia) of Haddonfield, N.J. and Christopher Caruso (Kelly) of Hammonton, N.J. She was a loving grandmother to Christopher Caruso II, Kelsey Caruso, and John William Caruso, II. She will be missed by her many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
