Florence L. Lucca

Florence L. Lucca (nee Rodio), 96, of Folsom, N.J. passed away peacefully Saturday March 25, 2023 at the Heritage Assisted Living in Hammonton, N.J. Florence was born and raised in the Hammonton/ Rosedale section to Carlo and Frances Rodio. She worked for several clothing factories and retired from National Garment in Hammonton and was a member of the ILGWU.

Florence also worked for many of the family’s roadside produce stands. Always on the go and willing to please everyone, she would crochet blankets for family and friends and loved to cook and enjoyed fishing with her brothers


Florence is predeceased by her parents, Carlo and Frances Rodio; Husband, Leo Lucca; son, Joseph M. Olive, Jr.; Brothers, Nicholas, Henry and Paul Rodio; Sisters, Anna Ripa and Antoinette Taddie; and her son in law, Michael Wallis. She is the beloved mother of Joyce Wallis of Folsom, N.J. and Sister of Eleanor Rodio Furlong and Rita Ransom both of Naples, Florida. Florence will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews whom she played an important part of her life over the years.


Relatives and friends were invited to attend her viewing Wednesday Evening from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third Street Hammonton, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish – St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Streets Hammonton. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 248 S. First Rd. Hammonton, N.J. 08037. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Florence’s memory to St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish 226 French St. Hammonton, N.J. 08037.
