Mary Louise Heston

Mary Louise Heston, 84, of Hammonton N.J., passed away peacefully on March 29. Mary Louise born August 3, 1938 in Pittston, Pa was the only female child of 6 children to Mary and Michael Breza. She lovingly reigned with humility and grace as a petite Princess to her 5 loving brothers; George, Joe, Bernie, Bobby, and Frankie. On a double date with her then boyfriend, she met the love of her life William J Heston. Devoted to each other, they married, moved to Hammonton, N.J. and created a beautiful family. Their children Mary Jo Meer (Matthew), Kathleen Johnson (R.Verle), William (Robin Shapiro) and Dolores Theresa (S. Zarankin) were truly blessed with incredible parents. Their family grew with eight precious grandchildren, Samantha, Daniel, Edan, Alexander, Mary Kate, Jacob, Claire and Neve whom she adored. Her sister by marriage Dolores Semion (Paul) gave her a lovely niece Kelli Schweitzer (Derrick). She cherished their children Jackson and Owen. Another special sister whom she adored is Debra Tykosh of Harding, Pa.

Although Mary Lou lost her best friend Bill of 54 years on May 18, 2015, her zest for life did not falter. Second to her love of family was her passion for golf. Her husband Bill taught and coached her for 40 years. Her many accolades, trophies and achievements can attest to her love of the game at her happy place, the Buena Vista CC (BVCCWGA). As in life, she was tenacious and fearless many times victorious over competitors half her age. Through the game that she loved, she acquired many sisters and daughters who were at her side until the Lord took her. She made her home on a lovely street in Hammonton where the entire neighborhood knew, supported and loved her, especially her neighbor, Barbara. She retired from a clerical career at Kessler Memorial Hospital in 2006. As a devout Catholic she looked to her Lord for strength and serenity. Mary Lou was a ray of sunshine in this world. Her light will continue to shine in all whom she encountered and loved.
