Richard Allen Ray



Richard (Rick) Allen Ray, 65, of Hammonton N.J., loving brother of three siblings, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021.


Rick was born on September 4, 1955 in Pensacola, Fla. to Kathryn Thomas Ray, and he was the son of Paul Ray.


He retired from NJ DOT after 35 years. Rick was a lover of books, a voracious reader and an avid animal enthusiast. He had a natural talent for oratory (he liked to talk), liked to sing and play guitar and enjoyed his online community and chocolate milk.


He is survived by his three siblings, Barbara, Eric and Johnelle; and eight nieces and nephews who will always remember his happy- go- lucky presence.


A Memorial and Celebration of Life service will be held on June 12 at the Woodford Cedar Run Animal Refuge, Sawmill Rd., Medford, N.J. at 2 p.m. Gathering will be at 2:30 p.m., worship/prayer at 3 p.m. and food and fellowship at 4 p.m.
