Rita A. Christopher

Rita A. Christopher, 96, of Hammonton, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly, NJ.

Rita was born and raised in Hammonton, and in later years resided with her niece, Pam Raymond, and family in Moorestown, NJ. She graduated from Hammonton High School in 1943, and studied music at Temple University. Rita retired from New Jersey Bell Telephone in 1983, after working 37 years with the company. Most important to her was her Catholic faith. She had an unfailing devotion to the Blessed Mother and Holy Rosary, which she was prompt to offer for anyone in special need.

She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Lucy (née Valentino) Christopher, her siblings, Elizabeth McKillop (Mac), Domenic “Tommy” Christopher (Martha), Angie Tomasello (Anthony), Salvatore Christopher, Carmine “Anthony” Christopher (Helen), Marie Tamaccio (Anthony), and Patricia Ordille (William).

Rita is survived by her sister, Dolores Ricca (Cosimo), and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
