Robert M. Klotz



Robert M. Klotz, 84, of Elmtowne died after a brief illness.


Born in Hawthorne, N.J., Klotz lived there until the age of 4, when he moved to Elwood, N.J. He lived in Elwood until the age of 20, when he married his high school sweetheart and moved to Hammonton. He worked for Suburban Propane Gas Co. for 38 years until his retirement in 1995. Robert also proudly served as a member of the Hammonton Police Reserves for several years during the 1960s. After his retirement, Bob pursued his first love, woodworking. He would spend countless hours daily in “Pop’s Workshop,” creating beautiful handmade items for family members. He especially enjoyed building grandfather clocks and cradles for the newest members of his growing family.


Robert is predeceased by his mother, Katherine Klotz; brother, Sebastian (Margaret); twin brothers, Joseph and Frank (Virginia); and his own twin brother, William (Gloria).


Surviving are his loving wife, Angela (nee Valentino); daughters, Joan (Kenneth) Schoenborn and Judith (Joseph) Grasso; grandchildren, Amy (Theodore) Felsberg, Sarah (Larry) Bodine, Ryan (Tamara) Schoendorn and Joseph (Monica Alitao) Grasso; great-grandsons, Caleb and Gavin Felsberg; great-granddaughters, Brielle, Lila and Olivia Bodine; and another great-granddaughter, (Felsberg) due in March. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Annabelle Klotz as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.


A private service will be held at a later date.
