Ronald McDermott



Ronald McDermott, 75, of Nesco, N.J. passed away peacefully on Monday, September 6, 2021 at his residence.


Born in Vineland, N.J. he moved to Bloomfield, Indiana in 1994 and resided there for 26 years. Ronnie, as he was known, worked as a carpenter all his life. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War receiving the Air Force Commendation Medal for defending the air base against Vietcong gorillas. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and was an avid wildlife enthusiast. Loved by his grandchildren for his ability to get down to their level and just be a kid.


Ronnie is survived by his wife, Darlene, their child, Deirdre Fanelli and her husband, John. He is also survived by his stepchildren Joseph Russo and his wife, Laurie; Lara Gerner and 13 grandchildren.


Funeral services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
