Anthony J. Terruso



Anthony J. Terruso, 90, of Hammonton passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at his residence.


Born in Hammonton to Mario and Catherine Terruso, he was raised in Philadelphia and moved back to Hammonton in 1970. Anthony was a salesman for Franklin Electric Company of Moorestown, N.J. He was a member of the Sons of Italy Salvatore Terruso Lodge #205 in Philadelphia.


Anthony is predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Marie A. Terruso.


He is survived by his four sons, Robert Terruso (Lorraine) of Philadelphia, Anthony Terruso Jr. (Diane) of Mount Laurel, John “Jack” Terruso (Angela) of Sewell and Stephen Michael Terruso of Hammonton; his brother, Paul Terruso of Williamstown; four grandchildren, Mark (Jennifer), David (Amy), Alex and Nicholas; his great grandson, Domenic and numerous nieces and nephews.


A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, November 19, 2021, 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s RC Church, 226 French Street, Hammonton. Burial followed in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton. Viewings were held Thursday, November 18 2021, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Friday, November 19, 2021, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. The family requests donations to the American Lung Association, Donation Processing Center, PO Box 11039 Lewiston, ME 04243-9409 or lung.org.
