Frank Jacobs



Frank Jacobs, 82, of Blue Anchor, N.J. passed away peacefully at his home with his children by his side on Monday, August 2, 2021.


Frank was born in Hammonton and graduated from Lower Camden County Regional High School in 1958. He worked as an Operating Engineer for Local 825 for over 40 years and later drove a school bus for the Winslow Twp. Board of Education. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard, was a member of Grace Union United Methodist Church, M.B. Taylor Masonic Lodge # 141 and the Shriners International.


He is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Charlotte (nee Elliott); his loving wife, Mary Lou (nee Anderson); and sister, Shirley Ordille.


Frank is survived by his son, Richard Jacobs (Carolyn) of Hammonton, N.J. and his daughter, Susan Jacobs (Thomas Sapp) of Little River, S.C. He is the loving grandfather, a title which he cherished, to his pride and joy, to his three granddaughters, Ashley Casanova (Ray), Caitlin Rivenbark (Josh) and Francesca Jacobs and his great-granddaughter, Raya Casanova. He will be sadly missed by his fury friend “Boopie”.


Family and friends attended his viewing on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery 317 Henry Ave. Blue Anchor, N.J. Per the family request, masks must be worn by all in attendance.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank’s memory to Grace Union United Methodist Church 131 E. Central Avenue Blue Anchor, N.J. or Malaga Camp Meeting Assembly (make check out to West Jersey Grove Association) 4488 Arbutus Ave. Newfield, NJ 08344.
