HAMMONTON—Matthew Porch, 20, of Cherry Hill, was arrested at 5:27 a.m. on June 23 on the 300 block of S. Chew Road and charged with the following offenses: sexual assault in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child in the third degree, Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said.

“The victim was a 13-year-old female,” Friel said.

Officer Travis Hoffman and Det. David Reustle were the investigating and charging officers, Friel said.

Porch was transported to the Atlantic County Jail, Friel said.

In other police news, several driving while under the influence (DWI) arrests were made last week, including the following, Friel said.

• On July 6 at 11:04 p.m. on the 800 block of S. White Horse Pike, Friel said Officer Richard Carpo observed a light-colored Cadillac Escalade traveling eastbound on the White Horse Pike (Route 30) and failing to maintain a lane of travel. The vehicle appeared to be traveling lower than the posted speed limit, Friel said.

“The vehicle was traveling with its left blinker on, with the vehicle not making any turns. It was stopped and found to be operated by Tyrice Minnick, 36, of Essington, Pa.” Friel said.

Minnick was found to be operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol and was transported to police headquarters for processing, Friel said. He was charged with the following motor vehicle violations: driving while under the influence, careless driving, failing to maintain lane of travel, reckless driving, failure to possess his driver’s license and delaying traffic, Friel said.

He was released as per John’s Law pending a court appearance in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court, Friel said.

Friel said Carpo was the investigating and arresting officer.

• On July 9 at 1:01 a.m. on S. White Horse Pike and Seventh Street, Officer Travis Hoffman observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on the White Horse Pike (Route 30) crossing over the center line and traveling in the middle of the two eastbound lanes, Friel said.

Friel said the vehicle was stopped and was found to be operated by Joseph Tuzzolino, 55, of Tuckerton, Friel said.

“He was found to be operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol,” Friel said.

Tuzzolino was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters for processing and charged with the following motor vehicle violations: driving while under the influence, careless driving, reckless driving, failing to maintain lane of travel and use of cell phone while operating a motor vehicle, Friel said.

Friel said Hoffman was the investigating and arresting officer.

• On July 10 at 4:02 a.m. on the 700 block of Virginia Avenue, Officer John Amendolia observed a vehicle traveling west on the White Horse Pike (Route 30) on its rims, Friel said.

The vehicle was stopped and the operator, a Carlos Alberto-Quintanilla, 39, of Hammonton was found to be operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol, Friel said. He was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters for processing and was charged with the following motor vehicle violations: driving while under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, unlicensed driver, fictitious plates, unregistered vehicle and vehicle in unsafe condition, Friel said.

Friel said Amendolia was the investigating and arresting officer.
