Thomas W. Rodway

Thomas W. Rodway, 83, of Hammonton, N.J. and formerly of Fort Pierce Fla., went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 29, 2021 with his loving family by his side.

Born and raised in Peckville, Pa., Tom attended and graduated from Blakely High School where he was remembered for playing football as an All State center. Other than his football skills, it may have been his talent in music as a drummer in a band that attracted Rose Marie, his forever sweetheart and future wife. Tom went on to attend Practical Bible College and Manahath School of Theology and earned degrees in theology, bible and religious education. God’s calling combined with Tom’s pastoral gifting led Tom and Rose Marie to a lifelong commitment to serving the Lord as pastor and wife in both New York and Pennsylvania. Whether reading, hunting, watching football with family, going out to breakfast or enjoying Rose Marie’s cooking and baking, Tom enjoyed the simple things in life. His quick wit and funny stories will always be remembered. He loved and cared deeply for his extended Rodway and Kwolek family, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his various church families over the years.

He is predeceased by his loving wife, Rose Marie (nee Kwolek); his parents, William and Gertrude Rodway as well as his two sisters, Marion and Betty; and brothers, Alf, Jack, Lynn and Jay.

Thomas is survived by his five daughters, Jody Shendock (Doug), Judy Stahl (John), Amy Rodway, Audra Boucher (Scott) and Joy Rutter (Patrick). He is the loving grandfather of Jenni Edwards (Eric), Joy Ghazal (Adam), Jill Dunfee (Bryan), Amanda Boucher, John Stahl (Tara), Aimee Haas (Garrett) Andrew Shendock (Devin), Elizabeth Shendock, Jordan Boucher, Emily Kukielka, Grace Kukielka and Micah Rutter. He was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren.

The memorial service was held on October 9, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Springville Baptist Church, Springville, Pa. A private burial was held at White City Cemetery in Fort Pierce, Fla. at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, if you are so inclined, we ask that you donate to the church where Tom last pastored, Springville Baptist Church, 184 Loch Road, Springville, PA 18844.

Arrangements made by Marinella Funeral Home.
