Walter John Kilcheski



Walter John Kilcheski, 84, of Hammonton died on Friday, February 19, 2021.


Born in Philadelphia, he was a resident of Hammonton for over 47 years. Kilcheski was an air technician jet mechanic and life systems support supervisor for the U. S. Air Force for 25 years. After his retirement from the U.S. Air Force he went to work at Bally Park Place in Atlantic City for 12 years in their security department. Kilcheski served in the United States Army Air Force as a Tech. Sgt. and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He also served in the Air National Guard in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, the Mullica Jaycees, where he served as president, past president and secretary; the Mullica Twp. ambulance squad where he served as treasurer; he was a former secretary of the Air Force Association in Pomona and a member of their bowling league. Kilcheski also served as Director of the Welfare Board and Director of civil defense disaster control in Mullica Twp. His hobby was collecting and displaying his many Lionel trains for family and friends to enjoy, a hobby he truly loved doing.


He is predeceased by his daughter, Mary Ann Kilcheski.


Surviving are his loving wife and best friend, Frances Ann Kilcheski (nee Voroscak); his daughters, Mary Frances (Kelly) and Susan Ann (Joseph); his sister, Joan C. (Michael); his-stepsisters, Renee (James) and Marie; his-stepbrother, Thomas (Barbara); his step-grandchildren, Ryan and Emilee; and many nieces and nephews.


Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Vets.
