Viking Pest Control, an Anticimex company, announced the acquisition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).

“The partnership with Viking Pest Control is great news for our customers and employees. We are extremely excited about the pest control solutions it will bring, creating an industry-leading pest management partnership. With Viking offering customers the most innovative, digital, and hassle-free pest control solutions like SMART, everyone will enjoy the best, most advanced products, methods and services on the market. Paul and his team were extremely professional, and we look forward to combining our experienced teams and the opportunities ahead,” IPM President David Damiano said in a release.

IPM has been providing residential and commercial pest control services to southern New Jersey since 1984 and is known for its local and personalized approach to delivering outstanding customer service. The partnership will enhance IPM’s overall pest management solutions, while strengthening IPM’s delivery of service, increasing their local support, and ensuring quality service, a release from Viking said.

“They have very similar services. They have a good customer base. They have a good foot-hold with the community. They have good staff. People we can work with,” Viking Branch Manager Thomas Doherty said.

Doherty has been with Viking for four-and-a-half years and in the pest control industry for 10 years. He said that Nick, Dan and Kelly are involved with the IPM customers and Damiano is consulting with the company.

Under Viking, services will be expanded.

“We do services six days a week. We also do animal trapping and exclusion work,” Doherty said.

He added that Viking’s size allows for it to offer more immediate service in an emergency.

“Because under my branch I have 53 technicians and I can get someone out there the same day if there is an emergency or the next day,” Doherty said.

Pricing will remain similar, Doherty said.

“Our pricing is competitive. We are in the middle compared to other ones,” Doherty said.

It is the customer service level that sets Viking apart, Doherty added.

“We want to provide a great quality service to everybody. I feel we can do that,” Viking said.

Viking also works with similar companies to stay ahead of issues.

“Viking is pretty big. We are going out to Pa. We have a technical. We all know what to expect when it is coming. Our parent company Anticimex has multi-platforms across the U.S., especially up and down the East Coast. We are able to contact branch managers. We do a best practice sharing. We are able to learn from other companies and stay ahead of the ball,” Doherty said.

Doherty said he is enjoying Hammonton.

“It is close-knit with people. Everybody knows everybody,” Doherty said.

Based out of Berlin, Doherty said he spends a couple of days per week in town.

Doherty said the IPM name will be phased out slowly and the company will be known as Viking locally.

“This is an exciting time for Viking Pest Control, and we are excited to partner with Integrated Pest Management as it continues to solidify Viking as the leading pest control provider in New Jersey. Integrated Pest Management is an excellent fit; we are excited about the latest addition to the Viking Family. We welcome the Integrated Pest Management team and will work side by side to continue providing excellent service to our customers,” Viking Pest Control President Paul Bergmann said in a release.

It is great that there are companies that are constantly developing and trying to keep up with the times, especially those that deal with pest control software, because it is always good when you can pay bills or order a service from a particular company in just two clicks. Thank you.
